Clean Thinking

Mike Clark

Philippians 4:8

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

“Your thoughts determine your actions, and your actions determine your future.” - Robert Zink

How’s your thinking?!

Clean thoughts equals a clean future.

  • clean thoughts are Biblical thoughts

Dirty thoughts equals a dirty future.

  • dirty thoughts are sinful thoughts

We must control our minds in order to be successful in the Christian life, so here is the challenge...Think clean and live clean everyday!

Don’t Crack

Herb Moorman

Psalm 71:3 "Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress."

If you have ever had a phone, then you have probably experienced it's screen shatter. If you haven't, good for you you're better than the rest of us. I've had my phone for a year and a half now, hardly had a scratch on it ... until yesterday. I was visiting with a couple of guys from my church and it dropped out of my hand when I was slipping it into my pocket and landed screen first on the asphalt. Then the screen, not moments before spotless, was littered with cracks. It was the very small window between my hand and the ground that my mind thought, "I should have got the screen protector."

How often do we live life like this? We have the opportunity to be consistently protected from every problem and all accidents in life. We wait, like my IPhone 8 yesterday, until we hit the ground and crack. Lets stay CLEAN of all cracks ... make sure you're covered with the protector.

Creatively Committed

Isaiah Smoot

As many people know, I am a content creator. I’ve made stuff from flyers to music. Creating content is one of my favorite things to do, and I one day hope to work in my church full time as a creative. Creating content is only part of the job. It’s great that I can create something good, but if I’m not committed to it what good is it?

One of the hardest parts of anything in life is commitment. Wether it’s a relationship, a job, or maybe your workout routine. Staying with it can get difficult. In order to stay with something you need to have a mind to do so. There can be things that come along and shake you. Things that may cause you to wonder. Things that may cause you to doubt.

A doubting mind can easily take you away from staying committed.

I don’t believe it’s “stretching it” to say this is what Proverbs 16:3 is saying when it states, “Commit thy works unto the Lord....”

Creating is work. A relationship is work. A job is work. Staying fit is work.

The verse says to “Commit your works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” That word established means “having taken root; growing well.”

If our thoughts have “taken root” it will be hard for those moments of doubt to keep us from staying committed.

Challenge:

Commit your works to God. Let him help you. So the next time you feel like giving up, you won’t.

Stay committed.
