Meet Fred
Some of you may know me personally, and some of you may not. Fitness and nutrition have been a vital part of my life since I was young. My dad had to keep me from lifting weights until I reached the age of 13. Finally, the day came, and I got my first weight set. There was no turning back.
I began powerlifting at the age of 14. I set a few state records and one world deadlift record. Funny enough my eighth grade Science teacher was my powerlifting coach. He would put on a movie for the class and take me down to the school weight room to teach the proper form for competition; it was epic :). Once I reached high school, another teacher and a few friends of mine started a powerlifting club at the school. It only lasted a couple years, but we did really well as a team.
After graduation, I started going to a new gym with a friend of mine, Nick Walker. Many of the members were fitness competitors and they compelled me to pursue bodybuilding, saying I had a promising future in the sport. I fell in love with it, and I was determined to become professional. It turned out that God had different plans for my life, and I pretty much did a 180. I signed up for seminary at Vision Baptist college. I’m now pursuing a career in ministry to work with either teens or adults. That being said, nutrition and fitness has become a major staple in my life, and Lord willing, I will never stop. I am forever a student — always trying to learn more about diet and exercise.
I will post weekly to Help motivate and educate you of fitness and nutrition.
I Timothy 4:8.
