Everyone is on a diet

Now most people say they want to go on a diet, not realizing they have a certain diet currently. How many of us watch YouTube and study all these different diets and dabble with them? I’m guilty. Or how many of us look back on our teen and early 20’s miss the lean strong muscle? I do! As we get older out body changes. Therefore, our diet needs to change also. Testosterone level drop and this get harder. Now for the women y’all are pretty consistent when it comes to the testosterone side of things, you are always low but your body is definitely changing. But let’s not go down that long road of changes because we are talking about diet right now. Learning your own body is challenging but very important. All those different internet diets out there can be great, well not all of them.

Its never a great idea to be extreme in one area. Some people give up carbs and stuff themselves with fats, some people do high carbs all the time, and some people to little of either. Now they are all wrong. The best way to “diet” is find out your macros and set you percentage goals. The staple of our diet should be our protein intake. Now some people have skewed outlooks of protein. Instead of going into all the wrongs I’m going to tell you why it is great. Protein; builds muscle resulting in burning fat, has a natural thermogenesis effect or reaction in you body which results in fat loss. Pretty much without a good consumption of protein you will not get the results you desire. I do about 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound which for me is 220-270grams. I’m not saying you have to be super high but your body weight is a great scale to find you protein consumption goal. Now when it comes To carbs and fats these are the two variables of the diet. The best way to see results is by being cyclical with these two. For example two days low carbs high fats, the third day high carbs moderate fats and repeat the cycle. Now adjustments should be made based off of Your results. Its very important to get a handle on this if you want results. Those who drop fat quickly normally gain it all back and then some. This is because of the rapid depletion of your body, which is really a starvation mode. Your body will become stubborn once you begin to eat again. Well I’ll end this abruptly because I don’t want to keep typing away. Take all this into consideration and apply it to your everyday dieting.
